Abby and I knew each other from high school despite not being in the same grade, but never really had the chance to get to know each other or even have a real conversation. We were mostly familiar with each other through the IB Economics class we took together and from Key Club, which – fun fact – my friend and I started at our high school my junior year. Abby was one of the most active members, so we got to be more familiar with each other after every meeting.
Abby had emailed me a few times for a shoot, and finally this summer we were able to find a time. We planned to go to the WWII Memorial, Abby’s favorite, and the Lincoln Memorial, which I had never shot at before. I’m always excited to shoot in new locations, and was so looking forward to Abby’s session there! When we got to DC, the sun disappeared behind the clouds and a strong wind started billowing, but I LOVE shooting in wind because it adds so much more mood and movement to a session. The rain held out until we were done and only began pouring once we started walking back to our cars, but by then it was a nice cool off! I love how these turned out, and am so glad Abby reached out to me!! 🙂
OBSESSED with this one below. Killin’ it Abby.
