Ah Casey! I love this girl (who doesn’t?). This senior shoot was a long time comin’. After some scheduling conflicts we finally were able to get a date down, and one that was at the same time as the annual Arlington Fair! I love how Casey brought new location ideas to the table and did her research. From the start, she listed out a few locations I had never shot at before (which always makes me so excited!), and we decided to kick off the shoot at the Bishop’s Garden next to the National Cathedral in DC. Next we headed to Georgetown to get a few more shots. I’m always amazed by how many different looks DC holds. You can literally drive 5 minutes away from your current location and be in a completely different looking place! It makes getting a diverse gallery so easy. After making a 15 minute stop in Georgetown, we zipped over to the Arlington fair and grabbed a few photos there. I love, love, love shooting in new locations and am always thrilled when my seniors come up with location ideas, just like Casey did with the fair! I had always wanted to shoot at an evening fair and was so pumped when we arrived. Casey was also such a champ with all the crowds watching her while we were shooting – it can be intimidating sometimes!!
So glad I had the privilege of knowing Casey for the past 5 years. Congrats on VCU girl!!
