Omg this SESSION!! As I drove over the Key Bridge in Georgetown to meet up with Charlie and Sarah, and witnessed the rising sun hitting the morning fog so beautifully, I KNEW this shoot was going to be a good one. I could barely contain my excitement when I met up with these two, and was so determined to find someplace right down by the water to take our first shots and FAST before the sun rose too high! Charlie and Sarah were so down from the get go, and followed after me as I rashly wandered around trying to find a spot. We totally lucked out and discovered some unlocked gates leading to a private boat club that had opened for a morning race. The girls’ cute outfits and duffel bags of clothes along with my bag of gear and conspicuous camera didn’t exactly camouflage with everyone there, but after being approached by one of the race coordinators, we were kindly granted permission to snap a few pictures while everyone continued to set up. Thank goodness, because this combination of light and fog was breathtaking!! Also, shout out to Sarah for trudging after us in heels. That dock was slippery and rocky, but Sarah had it down!!
Charlie and Sarah had the best energy going into and throughout this shoot. They created an environment that made me feel so loved, appreciated, and trusted. When clients do this and are genuinely excited before and during their sessions, I’m able to take the best pictures. They also had SO many ideas for their shoot and wanted to include props so that their seniors would be more about them, which I always adoreeee. Charlie loves music, especially playing the guitar, so she brought her guitar along and we had so much fun snapping a few pictures with that!! They also both prioritize working out and had the idea of bringing workout clothes and doing some exercise poses, which made their shoot so much more unique and memorable.
Thank you so much for letting me capture such a special time in your life, Charlie and Sarah!! Best of luck to both of you during senior year!! I had so much fun.
