Maria and Vishal tied the knot this May in Washington D.C. Maria’s family hails from Greece, while Vishal’s family is from India – they made it a point to honor both of their cultures throughout their two day celebration.
Day 1 of their wedding, the sangeet, took place at Maria’s Greek Orthodox Church. Guests mostly donned saris, but both Greek and Indian cultures were celebrated through traditional dances.
“Our main goal is for our wedding to be a giant party. Both of our cultures enjoy music and dance, and we wanted that experience to be at the focus. Jewel tones and a bright, peachy tones incorporate our childhood favorite colors of blue and orange and is a nod to both the die-hard love of blue in Greece and the bright colors of Indian culture.” Check out day 2 here! Congrats Maria and Vishal!
Both families!
Precious moments with grandma and the father of the bride.
