Maia and Joe’s wedding was one of my all time favorites! From the moment I walked into the getting ready room to the time I packed up my gear for home, joy was exuding from everyone. These two were also so wonderful to witness throughout the day. They have such a sweet, goofy, but deep and committed love for each other and it was an honor to be invited to photograph it. 

When I was trying to think of my favorite part of their wedding to write about, I couldn’t pick one. There was no way I could choose between the way Joe looked at Maia with so much emotion and love and teared up as she walked down the aisle or the way their precious daughter Ellie would immediately pipe up with excitement when they both embraced her. Maia and Joe’s bridal party were also so sweet and welcoming to the point that I would run up to them after getting cute shots of Maia and Joe so that we could all gawk over them together. And let’s not forget about the LIGHT when we went out for a second round of portraits after dinner. Out of ALL my years shooting, that sunset was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever had the opportunity to shoot in with some of the most wonderful clients I’ve had the honor of photographing. 

Congratulations Maia and Joe! I know you two will lead a beautiful life together. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey. 

After portraits, the girls rushed downstairs and surprised Maia with celebration in song and dance. Totally out of the blue and such a magical moment.
