“I’ve never felt as good in my own skin as I do today,” Caleb said to me with teary eyes as I brought him up the elevator to see Krista for the first time.
Krista and Caleb had a modern, yet classic wedding at The Line Hotel in Washington, D.C. It was a beautiful day from the curated details to the inspiring venue space to the giddiness Krista and Caleb had to finally be married. I was also so inspired by their wedding colors of periwinkle blue, gold, white and a pop of yellow – a unique color palette I haven’t seen yet! The two were so trusting and kind to all of their vendors and had such a good tribe of people around them, a testament to their kind characters. It was an honor to photograph such an important day. Congrats Krista & Caleb!
These matching PJ’s are everything!!
Peep Caleb’s tear after their first look!! That was only the beginning of the downpour of tears on both of their ends :,)
We had to take a little break before beginning bride and groom portraits and grab tissues for both of them, and it was so sweet.
So inspired by this view of DC and the Washington Monument in the background!
Fun fact: The Line is housed in a 110 year-old church. They tastefully incorporated many elements from the church into onto the decor of the new hotel, including that golden centerpiece in the back! Those are the pipes from the church’s old organ. How neat is that?!
As Krista and Caleb walked through the dining hall to get to the front of the hotel for pictures, the room erupted in applause.
I loved incorporating these golden chairs into their bride and groom pictures! Krista and Caleb were so inspired by their venue, so I wanted to try and include as many elements as I could.
