Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate, service-oriented individual who loves photography and desires to celebrate and empower others. As part of our team, you’ll ensure couples have an exceptional experience with Angelika Johns Photography. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with people and capturing beautiful moments—without the stress of running their own business.
Starting as a second photographer, you’ll have opportunities to grow into a lead role by demonstrating skill, reliability, and alignment with our signature style and values. Growth responsibilities may include managing clients, editing photos, designing albums, and shooting other sessions/events. Reliable transportation is essential for traveling to shoots and events.
This part-time, seasonal role is busiest between April and November. You can expect to work 5-20 weddings per year, with wedding days typically lasting 6-12 hours on weekends. Engagement sessions, rehearsal dinners, and non-wedding shoots are usually scheduled on weekday evenings, with occasional morning shoots. Responsibilities
Immediate Responsibilities:
-Assist as a second shooter or assistant for 5-20 weddings, engagement sessions, and occasional non-wedding events per year, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality results.
-Capture behind-the-scenes content for internal use and social media.
-Cull your own work to prepare images for editing and delivery.
-Participate in all training sessions to develop your skills and align with our style.
-Stay updated on photography trends and share creative ideas to improve the client experience.
-Attend fun team events, get-togethers, and industry meet-ups.
Growth Opportunities:
-Photograph weddings, engagement sessions, and other events, both as a primary and second photographer
-Manage clients, including communication, scheduling, gallery delivery, and ensuring a seamless experience.
-Cull and edit images, prepare client galleries, design albums, and assist in curating online galleries and social media posts.
-Contribute to team meetings, problem-solving, and business development.
-Stay updated on wedding and photography trends, as well as our partner relationships and business opportunities.

Schedule
–Weekend Availability: Primarily Fridays through Sundays for weddings and occasional non-wedding events. Most weekends involve one event, with occasional exceptions.
–Weekday Availability: Occasional weekday mornings or evenings for engagement sessions or other non-wedding shoots.
–Team Meetings: Weekly meetings during weekday daytime hours.
–Seasonal Workload: Hours vary by season, with 5-20 hours per week on average. Expect more work during the busy spring, summer, and fall wedding seasons, and lighter workloads in winter.
